If to be really precise, we are talking about elections to the House of Representatives.The Kremlin`s subversive strategyWhy is this question so important for the owner of the Oval Office? Everything is very simple. Amid of the investigation of the US special prosecutor Robert Mueller regarding the meddling of the Russian special services in the presidential elections of 2016, the Kremlin will provoke again two opposing camps to a new round of conflict, with one goal - to shake the situation from inside and create an atmosphere of institutional mistrust. Moreover, this can put the credibility of the US in doubt among European and Asian partners.It is quite obvious that Trump, while still a candidate for the presidency of the United States, did not know about the role of the Russian special services, that they played on "his side". He could not know this, because it was classified information that the former head of the US state, Barack Obama, did not want to disclose until the last. By the way, this was indirectly confirmed by the former head of the FBI, James Komi, in an interview with the German DW.However, it will be a mistake to believe that this game, which Moscow was conducting, was directed against Clinton, it was conducted against the United States. He worked in Sweden, in a company, which engaged in the export of weapons, and in the office of the International Republican Institute in Moscow.It is noteworthy that he graduated from the Military Institute of the MoD of the Russian Federation as a military interpreter. We have to recall that, as a rule, the future cadres of the Russian military intelligence are trained in this educational institution.Over the years, Kilimnik tackled the delicate issues of Manafort: he traveled between Washington, New York, Kiev and Moscow. Quite an interesting flight route, is not it?Also, Kilimnik was an official representative of Manafort during negotiations with Oleg Deripaska. And also he knew Renat Akhmetshin - the man who was present at the scandalous meeting of Trump staff with the Russian "lawyer" Natalia Veselnitskaya in the hotel "Trump Tower". And, by the way, this is another example of the Kremlin`s game against Trump.In fact, this event was conducted by the Russians with one goal - to discredit Trump`s team and the presidential candidate himself.Subsequently, the news agency Reuters, citing documents from the Russian court, will report that in 2005-2013 Veselnitskaya successfully represented the interests of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in a legal dispute over the ownership of elite real estate in the north-west of Moscow.But the most interesting character, which was present at this meeting from Russians, is the aforementioned Renat Akhmetshin.This person received American citizenship in 2009 and, presumably, is directly related to Russian special services. Despite the fact that in an interview with the American edition The Washington Post, he said that he "never worked for the Russian government. I served in the army as a soldier, two years, like tens of millions of young Russian guys. I`m proud of my military service ... I was not an intelligence officer. Never!". Akhmetshin recklessly added that he was serving in a" military unit that carried out law enforcement and some counter-intelligence functions".However, this fairy tale is still working, and, according what is happening now, Moscow is not going to abandon the strategy of pitting opponents. Moreover, at this time its main goal is Republicans and Donald Trump.Russia is meddling againIn April of this year, US Internal Security Minister Kirsten Nielsen stressed at a hearing in the House of Representatives Committee of Congress: “Russia will try to influence on the election process in America again in November 2018”.Previously, this information was voiced by CIA Director Mike Pompeo. However, the most accurate in his remarks was former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. During his visit to Colombia, he said: "I would not say that we are better prepared, because the Russians are adapting also. The fact is that if they intend to meddle, they will find a way to do it. And this image is very actively created amid of the future meeting of Putin and Trump in Helsinki.On June 15, 2018, the American edition of BuzzFeed, known for publishing the fake report of a former employee of British Mi-6 Christopher Steele about Trump`s links with the Kremlin, published an article stating that the head of the White House during the G7 summit said that "Crimea is Russian", because the majority of the population of peninsula speaks Russian.The article was written by a freelance correspondent of the newspaper - Julia Yoffe. This girl earlier was spreading fakes about Trump and his family. You can recall how she wrote about the sexual harassment of the American president to his daughter - Ivanka.Julia Yoffe is a US citizen who moved from Russia to America in a childhood. Later, she returned to Moscow, where she was working as a correspondent for the prestigious magazines The New Yorker and Foreign Policy. And then, even before the rallies on Bolotnaya Square, she will start criticizing Putin, the propagandists of "Russia Today", and etc. Eventually, she returned to Washington, where she became more active only during the election race in 2016.It quite strange, but this story is very much like the case of the so-called Polish journalist - Tom?? Who knows? As we say, time will tell!However, the fact is that the US president did not speak at the G-7 summit about the Russian Crimea. And he said American journalists later: "It was impossible to allow the Crimea to be annexed by Russia".Then the information appears again, this time published in prestigious publications, that Donald Trump, communicating aboard the American Force One and answering the journalists` question about his readiness to recognize Crimea as part of Russia during the talks with Putin, said: “We’re going to have to see".Later, the speaker of the White House, Sarah Sanders, confirmed that Trump never stated this. "We do not recognize the attempt of Russia to annex Crimea. Our sanctions against Russia for the Crimea will remain in force until Russia returns the peninsula to Ukraine", - she noted. According to the spokeswoman, the US and Russia "agreed to disagree on this issue" with each other.And it would be illogical if the president, who decided to toughen sanctions against the aggressor country, suddenly decided to give it the Crimean peninsula.Nevertheless, this fake actively spread Russian propaganda, using also the gray segment of the American Internet.In other words, we see again how someone is trying to show that Trump is ready to surrender the interests of America and its partners to Russia. It is this image that the Kremlin shapes now in the mass consciousness of Americans and around the world.And this is very timely blended with the story of the Ukrainian citizen, Andrei Artemenko, who is deprived of Ukrainian citizenship - a man with rather peculiar interests - from gas issues to the arms trade.As it known, this person is going through the case of Russia`s meddling in the US presidential election in 2016 now. He claims that special prosecutor Robert Muller interrogated him about the document that Artemenko allegedly handed to Trump`s legal counsel Michael Cohen, who in turn handed it to Michael Flynn, the former US national security adviser.This document is nothing more than the "Plan for the Transfer of Ukrainian Crimea to the Russia ". As you remember, only a few topics appear in this plan: to give Moscow a peninsula for rent for up to 100 years, to create by this money a fund for the restoration of Donbass, which Russia would fill, to remove sanctions from the Russian Federation after the parties fulfilled the points of the so-called plan. In fact, it is not known why Mueller interrogated Artemenko, and why he must appear in the Grand Jury in the United States. It is also unclear whether this document actually was. This information is not disclosed, which gives to the Russian the ability to manipulate it.However, we have to return to the meeting of Artemenko with representatives of Trump. As Cohen admitted earlier, he had a meeting with Artemenko, but he did not give any plans to the White House to normalize relations between Moscow and Kiev, as well as to abolish anti-Russian sanctions.It`s strange, is not it? The most interesting is the list of companies representing interests of Artemenko in the United States. It, as the deputy minister of information policy of Ukraine Dmitry Zolotukhin pointed out on his Facebook page, are the lawyers of company Baker Donelson.It is noteworthy that these lawyers dealt with the cases of the companies "Eldon Insurance" and "Big Data Dolphins Ltd.", who are accused of meddling in Brexit and illegal transferring of personal data to other legal entities in the United States.Another client of Baker Donelson`s lawyers is the 26-year-old girl Reality Winner, the contractor of the NSA, who is accused of leak of secret documents of the US intelligence service about Russian meddling in US elections. The FBI and the US Attorney`s Office believe that the special services of Russia were the beneficiary of this leak.And it is not surprising that on June 30, the propaganda channel Russia 24 released a film about the so-called struggle of Artemenko with the Ukrainian authorities.All of the above stories were created with one goal - to mire image of Trump. It is important for Russia to create for Trump the image of a president who sold US interests to the Kremlin. And for this purpose a beneficial soil is created in the form of similar preparations about Crimea and meetings of pro-Russian politicians with Trump`s entourage. And new stories will soon appear, because there is not much time left until the November elections. This means that immediately after Helsinki the Russian propaganda will go to the "turbo" mode.What to expect from RussiaDo not forget that such fabrications are part of Russia`s subversive strategy in the US direction. Let`s recall how the Russian special services, having created hacker groups, hacked the site of the Democratic Party and the personal mail of its candidate - Hillary Clinton. How they set up American citizens against each other through social networks. How they created fictitious organizations and held fictitious rallies, allegedly in support of Trump or against Clinton. They also organized radical right-wing groups and financed them.The most striking example is the case of the "Information Research Agency" - the troll factory, which belongs to Putin`s friend, his personal cook Evgeniy Prigogine.As is known, the special prosecutor Muller brought charges against 13 Russians, including against Prigogine himself about meddling in the American elections.Now the lawyers of Prigogine are trying to get documents on this case from the Washington Court, while refusing to attend their client to the court. The court allowed Mueller to block the transfer of relevant materials so far.However, Moscow is preparing a much bigger surprise now than we could imagine. In autumn, the representatives of Russia are going to submit for consideration by the UN General Assembly two resolutions. The first will involve changing the cybercode – the creating of restrictions for ordinary citizens in the online environment, restrictions that will concern public security issues. Also, the resolution will provide the issue of non-interference of one country in the political life of another state.The second document is a revision of the Budapest Convention of the Council of Europe (only Russia is not signed it). It is proposed to abolish art. 32 of Convention about "cross-border access to stored computer data", which allows various special services to conduct special operations in computer networks of third countries without official notification.Thus, first of all, Russia wants to prohibit its citizens from using separate online platforms and social networks that Russian special services cannot control, and secondly, it will try to cut off the possibility of revealing traces of the activity of Russian special services in the countries where they try to influence.Moreover, there is a high probability that the Kremlin will want to close the Internet, as it happened in China. Fan Binxing, the creator of the Chinese "Golden Shield" system, was already invited for such consultations.Moscow is now actively working to attract on its side the countries of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the SCO and the BRICS. It is known that the issue of maintaining the two resolutions was discussed by the BRICS working group on security issues in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT). The same question was voiced by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolay Patrushev during consultations of the security agencies of BRICS in Durban, South Africa.It is clear, that the above mentioned documents will not gain the majority of votes in the UN GA. And they understand this perfectly well in the Kremlin. But on the other hand, such disruption of the resolutions will further untie the hands of the Russian leadership. And now it will be able to talk not only about protecting its citizens, but also more zealously carry out its aggressive information campaign outside the country. And they will explain this very simply - the disagreement of world powers to adopt new rules of the game. In the same way as they did during the occupation of the territories of Ukraine and the summits on disarmament issues. And most importantly is, that these resolutions could be submitted for consideration before the elections in the United States.In other words, neither the United States nor the European Union should place high hopes on the meeting in Helsinki. It is organized not for reconciliation, but for launching a new aggressive campaign. And this battle will be much more dangerous than the previous one.IR
